2012 Ruston Way 5k: Fast As Expected

A few weeks ago I listed the Ruston Way 5k in Tacoma as one of a few races this spring that should be fast. It was pure speculation, as the race is in its first year, but I reviewed the course maps and knew that they were doing some serious recruiting to attract regional elites(open and masters). In the end the race was a hit and got a bunch of things right the first time. A few people that raced on Saturday said they wouldn't be surprised if the Ruston Way 5k becomes the premiere 5k of the spring in the next few years. With the results listed below, it may have already done just that.
