Club Northwest Summer All -Comers Track & Field Series Starts Tonight

Grab the kids, grab your spikes and head to Shoreline Stadium(NE 185^th St/5^th Avenue NE) tonight as Club Northwest kicks off its 44th year of hosting summer all-comers track and field meets. There will be 12 meets this summer as the series run through August 8^th. In their 44^th year Club Northwest will roll out an on-line entry system that you can find on their website. Entry fees can still be paid for at the meet and will be collected at the gate($6 adults, $5 students, $4 youth/seniors and $3 for CNW members).

The meet starts at 6:00 pm with a few Kids field events and the Open Pole Vault. The first running event goes off at 6:20 with the Kids 100-meter Dash.  The last event of the meet tonight is the 5000 meter run which is scheduled to go off at 9:10. Ribbons will be given to all kid’s events competitor. Additionally, there is prize money for open events using international scoring tables(see website for more info). For masters athletes there will be an award given to both genders based upon final season standing.
